Dynamic teams and embracing flexibility

Unlike most consulting companies, at Partnear, we don't track project time through “timesheets”. This provides us with easy and rapid flexibility and freedom to position resources where they are most required, with project delivery and client interaction being our highest priority.

In the vast majority of our proposals, we provide our understanding of the scope, our fee to achieve the project outcome (based on a few assumptions) and with that, our delivery date. That delivery date, whilst not a detailed project plan, is our commitment to provide the team to achieve the outcome, however, we rarely describe the individuals or team configuration. The Project Manager that you interact with will be maintained as your point of contact for continuity but we require flexibility in the remainder of the team to ensure we can bring the right people together to deliver the project.

Due to the nature of our industry and the project cycle, resourcing can be difficult to plan accurately and as a result we dynamically create small teams as projects materialise, embracing change and workload flexibility, it is in our culture. Our people have wide ranging skill sets and a keen interest in solving problems, which means we can shape the team to best suit the needs of the task or the project.

The design and delivery process is rarely straightforward. We understand that things are going to evolve and change throughout delivery and we embrace this through our flexibility. Our Project Managers have a clear focus on regular communication and providing frequent outputs to help the project stay within the guardrails of the project scope and ensure that we don’t end up off course by the time of the first review.

Our driving principles are that; a well resourced flexible team, through high quality communication and collaboration, leads to high quality project outcomes. The result is that we achieve our delivery dates, and if for some reason this is not possible, we know early and can help manage the process to reduce its impact.
